In The Spotlight:
Marion Pound

Marion Pound works at the structural center of Alternative Public Radio International, guiding the systems, strategy, and continuity that allow the network’s voices to move with clarity and intention. As founding Executive Director of Humming Wolf Strategic Marketing, she focuses on long-term alignment—ensuring that content, platforms, and contributors operate within a framework that is both creative and disciplined.
At APRI, Marion serves as Senior Executive Producer, coordinating broadcast flow, editorial rhythm, and cross-platform integration. Working alongside Kiler Davenport, she helps steward programs such as Lone Wolf Radio and Strike Force News, shaping not only production logistics but the tone and responsibility carried through each conversation. Her work is often unseen, yet foundational—holding the structure that allows signal to remain steady across formats and audiences.
Her professional grounding extends beyond media. With more than two decades of experience in caregiving—including companion care and hospice support for individuals with Alzheimer’s and adults with developmental disabilities—Marion’s leadership is rooted in presence, patience, and ethical responsibility. This foundation informs her approach to strategy: human impact first, clarity always, and decisions made with long-term consequence in mind.
In addition to her media work, Marion supports communication alignment and coordination within police, fire, emergency medical, and disaster response environments. In high-pressure settings where trust and precision matter, her focus remains the same—steady structure, calm communication, and thoughtful preparation.
Complementing her operational role is her reflective creative voice under the name H. Marion Ashwood. Through this lens, she explores contemplation, observation, and intentional storytelling—creating space for discernment in a fast-moving media landscape. Together, these two modes—strategy and stillness—form the balance through which she works.
Across every role, Marion Pound operates not as the visible signal, but as the framework that sustains it.
