The Reckoning: When Awareness Becomes a Responsibility

Writer: K. DavenportK. Davenport

A lone figure stands at the edge of a dark forest, gazing at a glowing city, caught between the comfort of illusion and the unknown truth

Once you see, you can never unsee.

Once you know, you can never unknow.

Awareness is a gift—but it is also a burden.

The Hollow Ones move through life untouched by the weight of truth.

They don’t question.

They don’t resist.

And so, they feel no responsibility.

But you? You are not one of them.

You see the cracks in the illusion.

You hear the lies in their words.

You know that silence is a choice—and a dangerous one.

To be awake is to be accountable.

To know is to act.

Because what good is sight, if you close your eyes when it matters?

The real question is: Now that you see, what will you do about it?
